I passionately believe that human beings need to feel and breathe and be in touch with green spaces and living plants, in order to thrive. Creating spaces where you love to be is my focus, one in which you feel at home and can relax, entertain, potter and play.

I have had a love of nature and gardening since I was a child and this led me to a degree in horticulture from Bath University, followed by several years in the world of plant breeding.

My husband’s work took us to Hong Kong for 4 years where we started our family. This was followed by a brief return to UK, where I studied garden design and gained a diploma from the College of Garden Design, run by Robin Williams and Lucy Huntington*. I started my own practice and designed several front and back gardens, and helped with planting plans for existing gardens.

We then moved to a small-holding in France, where we raised our children, and had the opportunity to keep chickens, goats and sheep, along with the usual assortment of guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits and fish.

Having returned to UK, I am once again designing and creating welcoming, recreational and practical gardens.

* From 1986 to 2000 Robin Williams and Lucy Huntington were joint Principals of The College of Garden Design. They both have their own very successful garden design practices.
